When cells form deep below the surface of your skin they are lovely and fresh, round and full of moisture. But as they slowly work their way to the surface they lose moisture, work less efficiently, lose their elasticity and flatten out. As they flatten out they can glue together and this makes your skin surface look dull and cause your pores to clog as Sebum gets trapped. This in turn hinders the general health and appearance of your skin.

Microdermabrasion is a safe, painless way to remove dead skin cells in a controlled way. By removing debris from your face it increases the blood flow to your skin, improves oxygen absorption, speeds up healing and stimulates Fibroblast activity.

It can reduce clogged pores, unevenness and pigmentation and make your face look smoother and more even,. It leaves your skin looking fresher helps moisturizers and other skin products penetrate deeper into your skin so they work much more effectively.

This means it works extremely well with quality skin care products and in conjunction with complementary therapies like CACI Microcurrent and Photodynamic Therapy.

It is particularly good for eliminating and removing acne scars along with fine lines and for improving aging skin. It can also help with blackheads, enlarged pores, age spots and even small surgical scars.

Microdermabrasion works by blowing a fine jet of tiny inert crystals onto the surface of your skin. Some systems use aluminium oxide but at FACE FIRST we use calcium carbonate, a safe organic compound. These crystals are then vacuumed off your skin, taking the dead skin cells with them.
